Biotechnology and Library Science: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Scientific Information Management
Abstract
Biotechnology has become an important field of scientific research with applications in medicine, agriculture, environmental management, and industry. The rapid growth of biotechnology literature has created a need for efficient information organization, storage, retrieval, and dissemination. Library and Information Science (LIS) plays a significant role in managing biotechnology information resources and facilitating access to scientific knowledge. This paper discusses the importance of biotechnology for library science, the role of libraries in supporting biotechnology research, and the challenges associated with biotechnology information management.
