Moving a Library: The Case of National Library of Greece

Abstract

This research was conducted having as an objective the study and the procedures required for the moving of mass library and archival material. The main goal is to define which are the appropriate materials, so as to avoid any loss or damage. In order to deduct secure conclusions for a complete transfer proposal, bibliographic examples are taken into consideration. The required preparatory actions for the moving of the material are presented in detail. In the conclusion, the general planning of the relocation is described and finally the research and study results are elicited.
