Competency of ERP Software in Library Management Perspective: a study

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the features of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and LMS (Library Management Software) and to trace out the characteristics and trends of software with special reference to packages that are available in ERP software. Here, authors have studied the interface of some of the ERP modules being used by LIS professionals and compared them with Library automation management modules. The paper also seeks to compare services and facilities and technologies incorporated in library automation packages.
