Gender studies in the field of Information technology has been consistently regarded as one of the top topic to discuss with the academic scientists. This article profiles research published in Gender Studies in Informatics: we identified the most productive authors and universities associated with most research publications in gender studies during the past 15 years (1991–2005) from Engineering Village database, it is including Compendex and Inspec. Based on a more detailed analysis of publications during the past 7 years, we determined the subject areas most often investigated and the research methodologies most often employed. Finally, we identified best practices by way of reporting the topics and methodologies used by the highly published authors.
